Captain Liress is a golden brown torosaurus that Teggs and his friends found underground in Terror Underground, after a astro-jet lesson went wrong, leaving them stranded under Isissia. She was an astrosaur captain who was in charge of a science ship, experimenting with the giant spiders which she had earlier rescued from a dying planet. She was especially interested in the properties of their extra-tough webbing. However, her work was interrupted by two velociraptor invaders, Sergeant Major Bonecrack and Pilot Komo, who had come to destroy her research. Liress and the spiders captured the raptors, but before she could alert the DSS her ship was trapped in an avalanche, trapping Liress and the raptors in ice.
