The 1970-17 was a Grand National West event held at Stockton 99 Speedway on October 10, 1970. Dick Bown won the event, his second straight as well as his sixth and final race of the year, holding off Paul Dorrity in Dorrity's best effort of the year. Eventual season champ Ray Elder took fifth place.
