The Rites of Lethargy were a religious ceremony practiced in the Atlantean Empire, in honour of the deity known as Anahit. These rituals were conducted by the Minister of Lethargic Words, the high priest of Anahit in the Atlantean Empire. The stepmother of Anipheon IX and his half-siblings were followers of Anahit, a practice that would be extended to his father Oiraps VIII.
