Ed Logan was a friend of Steve Whortleberry. After Logan's divorce, he found himself having a difficult time connecting as a new single. During a drunken moment with Whortleberry, Logan declared, "Man, the good ones are all taken." This little bit of wisdom came to be called "Logan's Law". However, after a successful date with Jen Barkman, Whortleberry called Logan very early in and told him that Logan's Law was wrong. Logan, who'd been sleeping and was understandably angry, hung up on Whortleberry.
