The Spider Galaxy is an ancient dead galaxy located near the Andromeda Galaxy. When the Andromeda Ascendant and her crew were fleeing from bounty hunters during the beginning of the Second Systems Commonwealth Civil War, they became desperately low on fuel and had run out of ammo. They dropped out of Slipstream to try and lose their pursuers for a few minutes, and arrived in the dead galaxy. According to Rommie, the galaxy has been heat dead for 3.25 million years, which means that none of the stars would provide sufficient Hydrogen fuel for Andromeda's Ramscoop.
