Tcl is a is a scripting language created by John Ousterhout. It was designed to be embedded in large applications and is itself very easily extended using C. It is commonly used in both scripting, testing and embedded applications. With the addition of the Tk GUI extension it is easy to produce cross-platform graphical applications from Tcl script.
