Lawrence Beesley (December 31st, 1877 – February 14th, 1967) was an English science teacher, journalist and author who survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic. On the evening of April 14, Beesly saw 2 women in the Second Class Library. They were identified as Mary Emma Corey and Claire Karnes. It was the last time these two were reported alive; they died in the sinking even though they were second class women.
