The Deep Space Nine expansion set, with 276 cards, was a continuation of previous sets for experienced players and a starting set for inexperienced players. For these players, a rule book was included. The Bajoran and Cardassian affiliations, the Bajoran wormhole, and the Gamma Quadrant were new to the ST:CCG. For the first time in the game, HQ and Site cards were used.
