Guard Fan (ガード・ファン Gādo Fan?) is a defense system from Mega Man X7 that appears in the opening stage, Flame Hyenard's stage, and in the left path in Crimson Palace. They fire ring-shaped lasers continuously while rotating, and cannot be destroyed nor interrupted. They are also one of the few obstacles in the game with an attack that knocks the player onto their back, making them unable to recover quickly. These attributes make Guard Fans one of the most dangerous obstacles in the game; especially when platforming over the bottomless pits in Crimson Palace or lava in Hyenard's stage.
