Inductions held in April for undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty invite students for membership. Undergraduate student requirements for membership: 1. Junior or senior status 2. Sociology as major, double major, or second major. 3. Completed 12 hours of regular courses in sociology with a 3.0 or above in sociology courses 4. An overall GPA of 3.0 of higher Students who are known by faculty to have engaged in academic integrity violations will not be asked to join AKD, even if all other criteria for membership have been met.
