Switch Stars are exclusive to Super Mario 64 DS. They only appear in a star sphere for a limited time. The player has to step on a star switch and quickly collect it before it disappears. It's found in ten of the fifteen main courses, others in secret levels. List: Switch Stars also appear as bonus stars in Bowser in the Sky, Fire Sea, and Dark World, well as in the Vanish Cap course.
