Ensign Anh Hoang was a short human female who served as an engineer aboard the USS Enterprise-E in the 24th century. In 2375, Hoang's family was killed in the Breen attack on Earth. Partly due to her personal problems dealing with this, she had several notations put in her file by various counselors regarding her poor socialization skills. In early 2379, Hoang, along with many other personnel, transferred to the Enterprise. While aboard the Enterprise, she continued her counseling sessions with Deanna Troi. (TNG novel: A Time to Love)
