The seed is an item used in Back to the Freezer. It is found in a crate in the storage area of the secret bunker on the iceberg on RuneScape German worlds. It is used to make the flax cap-ice-i-tor on those worlds, taking the role of "something that carries life in itself". It replaces the ice cubes, and will transform into ice cubes if taken to an English world (or vice versa).
