Masami Kayoko was a Kuati human female Jedi Knight of the original Jedi Order, serving as the overseer of a sect of the Temple Security Force known as the Temple Ciphers. She was a shady character, and secretly had a lust for power. Her Jedi Master had noticed and placed her as the head of the elite Cipher agents as a test, to see if she would fall to the dark side. During the Clone Wars, Masami carried out covert operations in Confederacy of Independent Systems territory. In her time as the head of the Ciphers, she had a friendship with a Cipher agent named Zhao Kiriyama. However, she was later killed in Operation Knightfall by a clone assassin.
