Starbase 42 was a Starfleet facility in operation in the 24th century. The starbase is commanded by Admiral Brendan Dillon. Anna Ingrum briefly served as a pilot there in 2374. (USS Baldwin: "Frontiers") In May of 2377, the USS Baldwin was towed to Starbase 42 by the USS Wildfire for repairs due to dilithium failure. It was held for refit when it was determined that the entire cabling needed to be replaced. (USS Baldwin: "Escape") The USS Ottawa and USS Nimitz were serviced as Starbase 42 after becoming corrupted with a virus that overwrote the entire operating system. (USS Baldwin: "Backdoor")
