The Kavarian system was the location of a covert Breen base during the Dominion War. A prototype encryption device was developed at this base, and Starfleet Intelligence Commander Tobias Donovan infiltrated the base in order kidnap the inventor, and eventually escaped the system in a stolen scout ship.
