Doug O'Keeffe was a wildland firefighter serving the Angeles Crest Forest and a friend of Lonnie McRae. The week before Day 2, O'Keeffe and Lonnie played a card game where Lonnie won most of O'Keeffe's money. When park ranger Mike Kramer arrived at Lonnie's house in search of Kim Bauer and spotted the remains of her place setting, Lonnie lied that O'Keeffe had stopped by earlier that night. Kramer asked how O'Keeffe was doing, recalling that he had been upset by his defeat in the game. ("Day 2: 8:00pm-9:00pm")
