Ziril Tarridax was a Human male tank commander in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars, before defecting to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Known throughout the Republic military as a skilled tank tactician, he developed new tactics for the Republic. However, in the first year of the conflict, he defected to the Separatists and became a high ranking officer in a unit of defectors called the Republic Liberation Army. He was promoted to colonel by the commanding officer, General Alix Balan.
