I conceived of this special around the time I came up with the character of The Benefactor. That was when I was about halfway through the Prince Vegeta Saga in late October 2010. I created the page for this story on October 29, 2010 and began writing it at once. In fact, my writing was so rapid at first that I completed the first draft of this story all in one day and posted the whole thing to the wiki as I wrote it in chunks.
