The Ig Nobel Prize (pronounced Ig-No-Bell) is a prize awarded by the Annals of Improbable Research on Earth for "research that cannot, or should not, be reproduced" at first and later, research that had funny implications. Its governing panel comprised genuine Nobel Prize laureates. It was first awarded in 1991. Ten prizes are awarded every year, six of them are for works in the same categories as the Nobel Prizes and the other four could be in non-Nobel domains.
