Often mistaken as unintelligent because of his appearance, the massive Rees-Van is a scholar of 10th level intelligence, specializing in the history of the Green Lantern Corps. Rees-Van has been petitioning for an audience with the Guardians of the Universe recently because of rumors regarding their removal of pages from the sacred Book of Oa. Likely unbeknownst to Rees-Van, the pages were incinerated by the Guardians as they dealt with the forbidden prophecy of the Blackest Night.
