During his assault on Inperushima, Ryuka killed Madara Uchiha, taking his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan for immortality. Due to this reason, he has managed to live for 1,000 years. After his escape from being killed by Echo Uchiha with the help of Kyashi Urami, he began to realize his mistake in judgement of the Uchiha. He apologizes to Kyashi, who readily forgives him for his actions, and vows to carry on the Uchiha legacy in him, and if possible, change its ways.
