Orlanth and Yelm had three contests for the rule of the world. * The first contest was Contest of Dance. Yelm did a ballet while Orlanth did a war dance. * The second was the Contest of Music. Orlanth displayed a new instrument which was not acceptable to the Judges. * The third was the Contest of Magic. Yelm displayed the magics of Being while Orlanth displayed Becoming. * Finally there was the Contest of Weapons. Yelm displayed his bow and arrows while Orlanth slew him with the sword Death * Comment: The new instrument of the second contest may be the Hornpipe or Bagpipes.
