Zone Sixty-Six was a mining zone on the moon Cynda. During the Gorse conflict, Imperial stormtroopers acting under Count Denetrius Vidian's orders ordered an evacuation and conducted a test bombing. The test bombing killed many miners and was part of Vidian's plan to prove his theory that detonating Cynda would not destroy the moon's thorilide reserves. However, the test bombing did damage the crystals but Vidian covered up the results as part of an elaborate plot to discredit his rival Baron Lero Danthe.
