In 2372, Lieutenant Tom Paris poorly punctuated his conn reports that he submitted to Lieutenant Rollins, as per Starfleet protocol. (VOY: "Investigations") Two years later, Paris, who then submitted reports to the first officer Commander Chakotay, lied about a late conn report to get out of his sickbay duty shift early to romantically surprise B'Elanna Torres.
