The Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin was founded in Israel in 2009 in memory of American-Israeli soldier Michael Levin by a group of former "Lone Soldiers": young men and women who venture to Israel to make Aliyah and join the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). serving in the IDF and assists them before, during and after their service. The center provides counseling services and helps soldiers find housing and pay bills. The center also organizes Sabbath and holiday dinners for lone soldiers including meals on High Holidays, Thanksgiving, and more.
