Alastair Harper is a customer of Dingle & Dingle Automotives who Debbie Dingle stabbed whilst on a call out. Alastair calls Debbie out to fix his car, which had broken down on a country road, when she rejects his offer of a coffee, he steals her keys. As he continues to pester her, Debbie lashes out and stabs him with a screwdriver in his leg. Debbie drives away from the scene leaving Alastair lying injured in the road. Alastair calls the police and Debbie is arrested. He drops the charges when Debbie's boyfriend Pete Barton pays him a visit in his hospital bed and threatens him so he would drop the charges, telling him about Debbie's past with Cameron Murray.
