This technique allows Sayuri to hide away her extra eyes when not in use. The seal applies almost a type of 'makeup' where no prominent marks are displayed on the fragile skin of the woman. They also prevent the extra set of eyes from being detected through sensing means, hence the name Protective Barrier Release. Furthermore, this technique also allows for Sayuri to release the dojutsu when hidden.
