It began like any other day. Tim Biffins woke up promptly at 5:30 in the morning to the sound of his alarm clock. He got up, got dressed, and ran out into the street. He called a taxi, which rocketed to #56 Thirty-Third Street, which was where he worked. So Tim was very proud of his job in the basement of the building. When he got there, he saw an electrician walking out of the building. "What are you doing here?" he asked the mechanic. I mean electrician. "An elevator that only goes up!" said Tim, "But I work on the bottom floor! How inconvenient! I'll be forced to take the stairs!"
