The Dorumaa Research Institute, or DRI, was a research organization that was based on Dorumaa. After the birth of two Dorumaan leviathan calves, named Jessel and Titon, the Institute assumed the role of observing and protecting them. They didn't like disturbing the calves too often, but would occasionally send teams of scientists to study them. Solwyn Tamm, a research student at the institute, was once sent by them in in the submarine Scientific Method to observe the leviathans.
