A hunting sensor was a supposed technology developed by the Hirogen, a sensory system used by the Hirogen to help track their prey. Hunting sensors, along with Borg interquadrantal warp drives and Vidiian phage torpedoes, was among the technologies which Reginald Barclay claimed the USS Voyager had at its disposal in order to trick the Ferengi into closing the geodesic fold in 2377. (VOY: "Inside Man") It is not known if hunting sensors existed or if it was a term invented by Barclay.
