The Winchester 1873 is a rifle. It appears in the Season 6 episode, Heartland (episode) where a rifle is owned by Jackson Gibbs, the father of NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs. In the Season 7 episode, Faith (episode), Jackson revealed that he had been forced to kill someone who had been attempting to rob his store. In the Season 8 premier episode, Spider and the Fly (episode), Jackson later used the rifle as a means of defending himself and his shop against Paloma Reynosa.
