Byron Scott (born March 28, 1961) is an American former professional basketball player and and coach who has served as head coach for the New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers. Scott subsequently was fired on April 25, 2016 after the Lakers missed the playoffs for the third straight year.
