B-2A was an experimental battle droid produced for the Galactic Empire in Imperial Research Station 61 on the planet Wayland. The droid and its partner unit B-2B, were based on the B2 super battle droid, possessing the same basic appearance but with yellow sensors and altered arm weaponry. After the two droid's creation the research station's commandant, Colonel Milosh Muhrlein had them installed in the walls of his office as a security measure against intruders. In the year 3 BBY Muhrlein found Imperial Intelligence agent Jahan Cross searching through the files in his office for evidence of black market dealings.
