Voven was a Klingon Captain who was also long-time friend of Captain Givens. Voven had received 2 Klingon Medals of Recognition in 2454 and 2471, both in strategically important battles of the Empire. Voven's also befriended Dr. Mason after he saved his life when he was nearly killed by a theragen-based assassination attempt.
