The Central-West Junior Hockey League is a Jr. B league operating in Newfoundland. The league champion plays against the winner of the St. John's Junior Hockey League for the Veitch Memorial Trophy. Due to the league not being competitive in the Veitch Memorial Trophy tourament and a lack of volunteers to run the league Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador fined and demoted the league to Junior C. The notification came too late for the league to register for the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championships. The organization never got off the ground for the 2013-14 season and it is very unclear if the league will return for the 2014-15 season. The league's website was not updated at all since February of 2012.
