Sulerem of Mengal was a historian, scholar, and traveler, whose book "Histories of Genabackis" gave a detailed background about several races and peoples who lived in Genabackis through the ages. From his name, he appeared to have been from the city of Mengal or thereabouts. The Philosophical Society of Darujhistan named him as a traveler and a scholar. Among his scrolls found in the Letters of the Philosophical Society of Darujhistan, was his record about a people of the wastelands in the south of Genabackis, who ruled themselves and were autonomous.
