In the Generation III games, one can enter his or her Pokémon into a Pokémon Contest, while in Generation IV games, Pokémon can be entered in Super Contests. There are 5 different contest categories. They are called Cool, Cute, Beauty, Tough and Smart. In Generation 3, the ranks are called Normal, Super, Hyper and Master rank while in generation 4, they are called after different Poké Balls.
