Using one of Cuvier's claws, Ace was able to lead Batman to the studio, where he engaged the mad doctor's henchmen, reverting them to their normal states, and finally cornered the mad doctor himself in the basement. As they fought, a set of gas tanks was ruptured; the spill was set aflame by a spark of electricity from a generator, leading to an explosion which consumed most of the building, and presumably Cuvier with it.
