Merillion Vir was a Thyrsian male serving in the Sun Guard who later joined the resurgent Sith Empire, eventually holding the rank Grand General for a few years. Hailing from the planet of Thyrsus in the Inner Rim Territories. Originally a member of the Thyrsian Sun Guard, a mercenary unit known for it's effectiveness and brutality, he was contracted to serve the Empire when the Guard was bought out by the Sith Emperor. After their time of working for the Sith Empire was over, Vir was offered the rank of general in the Imperial Army after displaying combat and tactical skill to his leaders. He accepted, and continued to fight the Galactic Republic in the Great Galactic War.
