Halloween is a 2017 American slasher film and a final installment to the long running Halloween series. The film is directed by Adam Wingard and written by Simon Barrett, the duo behind You're Next (2013). The film stars Jaime Lee Curtis, Aislinn Paul, Dylan Minnette, Evan Peters, Luke Wilson, Elisabeth Shue, Allie Grant, Taissa Farmiga, Sam Earle, Dakota Fanning, Ryan Reynolds, Jacob Tremblay and Tyler Mane. It ignores the events of Halloween: Resurrection (2002) and takes place 19 years after Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998).
