An MICV provided critical support to Sgt. Yannis Pappas' squad as Greek troops entered Istanbul on 7 June 2003. However, street fighting took its toll, and the MICV was destroyed a day later by a wire-guided rocket in the park next to the Murat Pasha Mosque.
