The New York Yankees limped their way into the playoffs and after a nice, but too close to comfort series against the Baltimore Orioles, they faced the Detroit Tigers, hardly making it to the playoffs themselves in a very weak AL Central division, with the only other contender being the Chicago White Sox, cooling off in the final weeks and missing the postseason completely. The Yankees got swept and just about every player struggled offensively, no matter how good the pitchers were. The Yankees need to retool in the 2012 offseason and here are my plans.
