Jason Battleboots was the first Jedi Master of Ganner Slarwalker. He taught Ganner until he was 16 years old, when he perished due to a trap set by Garm Antiburst. His death haunted Ganner, though eventually he managed to move on. After the Mission to Umbara, it was Jason's voice that lured Ganner to the Umbaran Sith Temple. Ganner and Jason were briefly reunited in the afterlife when Ganner died, but he was resurrected and once again taken away from Jason.
