Mogo is an entire Planet who is a Green Lantern. Mogo is revealed to be a living planet who patrols his own sector of space and is an official member of the Green Lantern Corps. Despero arrives and uses his hypnotic powers to take control of Mogo. He then plans to use Mogo's power to help him take control of the universe. The three remaining Lanterns left, Guy Gardner, Sinestro and G'nort as well as their temporary leader Batman then devise a plan to take Despero down and free Mogo. While Sinestro places a protective shield around Earth, Guy distracts Mogo while G'nort is asked to drain the power from Mogo's power battery and Batman handles Despero.
