Karen Browning was the Secretary of the Treasury during President Bartlet's second term between January 2003 and January 2007. She made a television news conference on the events of the Middle Eastern peace deal and it's reaction on the Hill. Bartlet and his staffers were not pleased with her break from ranks. ("Third-Day Story") Secretary Browning was played by Marcie Lynn Ross.
