The U.S. Army Freedom of Information Act Office is responsible for management oversight of the Army-wide implementation of the Freedom of Information Act of 1974 (FOIA) program in accordance with Title 5 U.S. Code, and Public Law No. 106-554. The office implements the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Department of Justice (DOJ) and Department of Defense (DoD) guidance regarding the FOIA and ensure the requirements of Executive Order 13392 ("Improving Agency Disclosure of Information") and the Action Plan are fulfilled.
