Hanabi Shihōin (四楓院 花尾 Shihouin Hanabi "Lit"; Tail of Flowers of the Temple of Four Maples) is a prosperous shinigami of the Shihōin Clan and current student under famed Sōran Seishō. Hanabi is regarded as the first cousin to Yoruichi Shihōin and is thus ostracized by the majority of her clan for coming under her influence. Being her student for a period of 15 years before her sudden disappearance, Hanabi had learnt much under her cousin and still remains in contact with her despite her renegade status. Hanabi then came under the care of Sōran Seishō, the clan hoping he would be a positive role model for her. However, the end turnout was rather unexpected.
