The Tusken Raiders kidnapped Shmi Skywalker from the Lars homestead. They brought her to a Tusken camp and tortured her. Anakin felt his mother's pain and sensed that she was in danger. So he and Padme Amidala went to Tatooine so that Anakin could save her. Anakin wnt to the Tusken camp where his mother was being held. He found her in one of the huts and freed her. But she was weak. After talking to her son one last time, Shmi Skywalker died. Anakin became very angry and he killed all the Tusken Raiders--the men, the women, the children, all of them!
