The skater could achieve 120 m.p.h. Acceleration was the most important thing in this test, so could the Aston beat him? Yes, it can. Although the Aston has a hell of a lot of horsepower, doesn't mean it would go as fast as you might think. As with the DB9 Volante and the vast majority of other convertibles, the chassis had to be strenghthened, so, obviously, the car was a lot heavier. But Astons are aimed more for touring and, as a tourer, the V8 Vantage Roadster does a fantastic job. Years produced: 2006-present Engine: V8 0-62 m.p.h.: 4.9 seconds Power: 380 b.h.p. Max. speed: 175 m.p.h.
